STEM water slide design.
We recently incorporated a Stem design challenge to a fun Friday. The goal was for us to make a water slide for a small lego firefighter out of materials found in the maker's space. Our designs were judged on safety and hight. Our group was the last to choose materials so we only got hot glue wood scraps and cardboard. This limited the things we were able to design. We used the wood to build up a tower and hung a long trough of cardboard. Unfortunately, almost all of it fell apart before we could test it because cardboard is not waterproof. Next time I would love to get in there earlier and get better materials. I would also like to use tape to waterproof the cardboard.
